Don't take much notice of my dodgy photography in today's post as it was one handed while feeding my son so a few blurry shots!
Pimlott & Strand is quite new on the scene and I drive past this area a lot so after a hard morning shopping at Little Posh we decided to stop here on the way home for an early lunch. The store is located on Fitzgerald Street in North Perth.
lots of yummy sweets!
I was almost tempted to pass on lunch and just try some of the desserts in the cabinet! Tiramisu, carrot cake, macarons and more it all looked delicious. I will be back to try those!
Pick some items off the shelf to take home and cook
There is a long communal table inside or smaller tables outside.
Our cute table number
We placed our order for the kids meal ($5.95 with ham & cheese toasted sandwich, mini muffin, juice and colour-in page and pencils), Beef Panini ($9.50) and an Iced Coffee ($5.50). They handed us a wooden bird with our table number on it and we decided to sit down on street level.
my MEGA iced coffee
It wasn't long before my coffee arrived and the girls went WOW! It's a super tall glass and you get a side of sugar syrup to sweeten it up if you decide it needs it. It was just what was needed today (going to be 35 degrees!). The only let down was the straw was shorter than the glass.
Beef Panini
Next our food came. My panini was lightly toasted so still soft on the inside and crunchy on the outside. Easy to eat one handed while feeding a baby. The beef, caramelised onion, gruyere cheese and baby spinach was a great combination and I was very full afterwards.
Kids meal box
The girls were very excited to see their meal arrive with their names on the side! They had only had morning tea about an hour before we got there so they shared one but the staff were generous and put in an extra colouring sheet and an extra mini muffin so everyone was happy. They ate up their ham and cheese toastie very quickly so that they could get to the muffin and said it was all really good. We saved the colouring in sheets until we got home.
The staff were fantastic, very friendly and helpful. There is one highchair inside. Don't bring along a pram unless you have someone to sit downstairs with it as the only way to get inside is up some stairs. Plenty of parking nearby available.
All the reviews I have read say the coffee is fantastic and they do some cute little picnic hampers so if you are ever on your way to Hyde Park stop in and grab a coffee or some food to take along with you.
